24 HOUR TREADMILL CHALLENGE 2018
24 HOURS | 2 TREADMILLS
$1 raised = 1 meal for a child
With over 40,000 children and youth living below the poverty line, for many families in our community, food insecurity is a reality. Over 60,000 hot meals and snacks were served in BGCBigs Clubs last year. Every dollar raised equals 1 meal for a child.
What’s happening? Starting on March 10 2018 at noon and going until March 11 at noon (hence the 24 hour bit) two treadmills at the Lululemon on Whyte will be continuously powered by runners donating their sweat and their cash to the Eat Smart program. Hours on the treadmill are available ‘for sale’ with all money going to the BGCBigs' Eat Smart program (and you get a tax receipt.)
Not a runner? No problem! The weekend will also feature ‘karma’ workout classes in a variety of workouts (think spin, barre, yoga etc.) that you can register for (coming soon) with the set donation amount going again to BGCBIGS. Super hardcore about sweating and for the cause? Challenge yourself to complete the run and all the classes (and be sore, happy and a very good person.)
